The Arveiros Vocal Quartet from Mexico City is formed by the soprano Irasema Terrazas, mezzosoprano Verónica Alexanderson, tenor Óscar de la Torre and baritone Armando Gama.
Each member of this vibrant quartet has had a successful solo career:
Terrazas
has performed with the Compañía Nacional de Ópera and was recognized by the Unión Mexicana de Cronistas de Teatro y Música (2006) for her vibrant and versatile career.
Alexanderson has performed with some of the country's most important orchestras such as the Qrquesta Sinfónica Nacional and the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México, as well as in many other countries including Columbia, Guatemala, Russia, France, Spain and Belgium. She has performed beside Placido Domingo and tenor Ramón Vargas.
De la Torre studied with Montserrat Caballé and Francisco Araiza, among other distinguished vocalists, and has performed in Europe, Canada, the United States and Latin America. He has explored classic operatic repertoire as well as contemporary.
Gama studied at the National Music School of UNAM and the San Francisco Opera Center, and was Adler Fellow at the War Memorial Opera House. He is known as one of the best Mexican baritones in the international musical world.
