The Arveiros Vocal Quartet from Mexico City is formed
by the soprano
Irasema Terrazas, mezzosoprano
Verónica
Alexanderson, tenor
Óscar de la Torre and baritone
Armando
Gama.
Each member of this vibrant quartet has had a successful solo career:
Terrazas has performed with the Compañía Nacional de Ópera and was recognized
by the Unión Mexicana de Cronistas de Teatro y Música (2006) for her vibrant
and versatile career.
Alexanderson has performed with some of the country's most important
orchestras such as the Qrquesta Sinfónica Nacional and the Orquesta Filarmónica
de la Ciudad de México, as well as in many other countries including Columbia,
Guatemala, Russia, France, Spain and Belgium. She has performed beside Placido
Domingo and tenor Ramón Vargas.
De la Torre studied with Montserrat Caballé and Francisco Araiza,
among other distinguished vocalists, and has performed in Europe, Canada, the
United States and Latin America. He has explored classic operatic repertoire
as well as contemporary.
Gama studied at the National Music School of UNAM and the
San Francisco Opera Center, and was Adler Fellow at the War Memorial Opera
House. He is known as one of the best Mexican baritones in the international
musical world.
